Vouched has announced availability of its identity verification solution for EpicCare Link as part of Epic's May 2026 release. This marks the company's second major milestone in 2026, following its MyChart approval in March, and extends Vouched's verified identity layer across both patient-facing and clinician-facing Epic applications.

"Clinicians and staff are accessing some of the most sensitive data in healthcare through EpicCare Link," says Vouched CEO, Peter Horadan. "Knowing who they are is not optional; our identity verification gives healthcare organizations confidence that every clinician and staff member who gains access is genuinely who they say they are, backed by a process aligned to federal identity assurance standards."

The verification flow requires clinicians and staff to submit a government-issued ID alongside a live selfie. Vouched's platform authenticates the ID, performs a direct biometric comparison between the selfie and the ID photo, and conducts a liveness check to prevent spoofing — all aligned with NIST Identity Assurance Level 2 (IAL2). This gives healthcare organizations a defensible, standards-based foundation for access control across their full Epic environment.

Healthcare organizations currently live on EpicCare Link can work with their Epic implementation team to enable Vouched verification. Organizations new to Vouched can reach the team directly at sales@vouched.id.
