Vouched has been selected to participate in the EUSAiR pilot program, a European Commission–backed initiative helping shape how AI regulatory sandboxes will work under the EU AI Act. We're joining a select group of AI providers, regulators, and infrastructure partners testing a common EU framework for AI regulatory sandboxes (AIRS) before it rolls out across member states.

What is EUSAiR?

EUSAiR (EU Regulatory Sandboxes for AI) is a two-year project funded by the European Union's Digital Europe Programme and supported by the European Commission's AI Office. Coordinated by the Italian Research Center on High Performance Computing, Big Data, and Quantum Computing (ICSC) alongside 13 partners across Europe, EUSAiR is building standardized frameworks, technical and legal capacity, and cross-border cooperation to make AI regulatory sandboxes accessible, especially for the startups and SMEs driving AI innovation.

Between April 2026 and September 2026, EUSAiR is running pilots across three testing environments: advice and guidance, digital sandboxing, and real-world testing, with up to 90 use cases spanning health, finance, education, manufacturing, mobility, and more. Each pilot helps surface real regulatory questions (classification, high-risk requirements, conformity assessment, data governance) that will directly inform how AIRS gets implemented across the EU.

Why Vouched applied

Agentic Identity Verification sits squarely at the intersection of AI innovation and regulatory scrutiny. As member states of the European Union increasingly adopt agentic solutions, the team at Vouched is excited to partner with the teams thinking about how to set SMEs up for success. These emerging compliance standards and the existence of EUSAiR provide us with thoughtful feedback to catalyze growth in these markets in the near future.

“AI is a global movement and Vouched is eager to lean in and stress test our approach under the guidelines of the EU AI Act to ensure it delivers the best outcomes possible.”
- Rosalyn Curato, Chief Innovation Officer & GM, Agentic Security

What's next

Over the coming months, Vouched will work alongside EUSAiR's regulatory and technical experts to stress-test our AI systems, document lessons learned, and contribute feedback that will help define how AI regulatory sandboxes operate across the EU. We'll share updates on our progress as the pilot continues.
