From sign-up to visit: how Yucca Health verifies patients without slowing them down

In telehealth, every extra step between sign-up and the first visit is a chance to lose a patient for good. Abandoned intake rarely turns into a second attempt. Yücca Health, which delivers personalized, physician-prescribed treatments in all 50 states, had to confirm who a patient was without turning intake into an obstacle course.
Education first, then verification
Yucca Health builds around the patient journey. The team shares medical details, side effects and pricing up front so patients can make an informed decision before they commit to anything. Intake carries that forward: patients answer questions about their medical history, prior side effects and allergies, and Yucca Health passes that record to licensed providers.
Identity verification sits in the middle of that flow. Providers cannot prescribe with confidence unless they know who is on the other end, and patients will not wait long to prove it.
A multi-step path that usually ends on the first step
After integrating Vouched directly, Yucca Health collects legal name, date of birth and address and cross-checks them automatically. Most patients clear that check immediately and move straight on to care.
When a patient does not pass on the first try, the flow does not stop. Yucca Health offers the last four digits of a Social Security number, visual ID verification, or a manual ID upload the care team reviews. Each fallback keeps the patient moving rather than sending them back to the start.
What changed
Before the integration, patients uploaded photos of IDs that were often blurry or badly lit, and staff worked through them by hand. Reviews took time, and patients waited.
Now the care team handles exceptions directly and reaches out for a re-upload when something is genuinely unclear. Wait times are shorter, manual review is rarer, and the path to a prescribing provider is measurably faster.
“More often than not they get verified immediately. Having that process now has improved the wait time.” — Aaron Le, Co-founder & CEO, Yucca Health
Trust and speed are not a trade-off
Yucca Health treats trust as the starting point, not the reward for being fast. The team holds a 4.6 out of 5 Trustpilot score, publishes real reviews on the site, and audits messages, transcripts and call logs to keep the experience consistent.
They track where patients hesitate at every step, and ask directly whether onboarding, the questionnaire or checkout caused confusion. The intake flow changes often because of what comes back. Verification that resolves in seconds is part of the same discipline: fewer steps to prove you are who you say you are means more attention left for the care itself.

Yucca Health joins Vouched on stage to walk through the challenges they hit, why they chose Vouched, and how they closed the gap between sign-up and first visit.
We are also running live demos at Booth 4155 in the AI Pavilion.
Set up a meeting with us during HLTH to see the verification flow end to end and talk through what it would look like in your intake.
