What does Vouched do for health systems?

Vouched is the identity layer for patients, clinicians and staff, inside Epic and beyond. It verifies people with a government ID matched to a live selfie at MyChart account creation and EpicCare Link access, re-proves them for account recovery and password resets, and resolves duplicate records with a face match.

Is Vouched integrated with Epic?

Yes. Vouched is in the Epic Showroom with Toolbox designation for MyChart and EpicCare Link, embeds directly in the MyChart flow with no redirects, and gives each health system a dedicated API key. It’s turnkey on Epic’s November 2025 release or later.

How long does implementation take?

Typical go-live is six to eight weeks from contract, and under four weeks for turnkey Epic Toolbox activation on the November 2025 release or later. Teams can test first in a pre-production Epic sandbox with synthetic patients.

How many patients complete verification?

97% complete verification on their first attempt, in under 60 seconds on average, compared with the high failure rates of knowledge-based questions.

Does Vouched support NIST IAL2?

Yes. Vouched offers a Kantara-approved NIST SP 800-63A IAL2 workflow, which TEFCA requires for Individual Access Services, alongside lighter workflows for use cases that don’t need IAL2.

Is Vouched HIPAA compliant, and is there a BAA?

Vouched is built to support HIPAA compliance, has a HIPAA BAA in place, and holds SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001. It has no access to clinical records.
